Presenting at A+DS Pecha Kucha event - "What If? Vacant Potential"
In September 2014, I was invited by Architecture + Design Scotland to speak at their Pecha Kucha event in Glasgow - 'Pretty Vacant' about the potential of vacant spaces. I spoke about the Urban Fabric Collective and 3000 Acres projects I was involved with in Australia.
Jenny is a landscape architect, designer and photographer who has recently relocated back to Scotland from Melbourne. Passionate about projects with positive environmental and social impact, Jenny uses her spare time to progress projects focused on activating vacant spaces, urban agriculture and community. Jenny will speak about the Urban Fabric collective she founded in Australia, a team of inspiring people creating more engaging uses for vacant urban spaces such as temporary outdoor cinemas or exhibitions showcasing local artists and film-makers work, and her involvement in the 3000 Acres project in Melbourne, which unlocks vacant land to facilitate urban agriculture and connect people together.
Presented as part of the Architecture and Design Scotland Pecha Kucha event on 11/09/14 produced by Taktal at The Whisky Bond.
